Ocean First Institute is offering students the opportunity to participate in marine research and conservation projects in the Keys National Marine Sanctuary, the only living coral reef in North America. Students work side-by-side with teachers and scientists, including shark biologist Dr. Mikki McComb-Kobza & conservation biologist Lauren Riegler, to monitor seagrass, mangroves, and coral reefs. Daily activities include citizen science projects, snorkeling, and lab work at Marine Lab in Key Largo, FL. This is an incredible & exciting opportunity for students to gain hands on experience in science, data collection, and find their own paths for future study.
Join us for an information session, to learn more about this upcoming research expedition and to meet trip leader, Dr. Mikki McComb-Kobza!
