The Ocean First Discovery Center is the first interactive marine science education center in Northern Colorado. Located at our state of the art facility in Boulder, we offer hands-on marine science education to 6th-12th grade students, providing unique opportunities for students right here in the Rockies.
The Ocean First Discovery Center educational programming is facilitated by Ocean First Institute’s Executive Director, Mikki McComb-Kobza, PhD., renowned marine biologist and internationally acclaimed shark expert and her marine science staff. All programs will run at our state-of the art facility at Ocean First in Boulder, which includes an in-house pool, touch tanks with a variety of marine species, a wet lab, and digital microscopes.
*Class sign-ups are on a first come, first serve basis for all of our programming. We will limit group sizes to 12 students or less to allow for proper social distancing. As always, our commitment to safety is always top priority and we will be monitoring the recommendations of the CDC.
These classes are for 6th-12th graders and are FREE of charge thanks to our generous sponsor, Stapp Interstate Toyota.
