Ocean First announces the opening of the Ocean First Discovery Center in January 2021.

The center, which is the first interactive marine science education center in Northern Colorado, will offer high-quality hands-on marine science education to 6th-12th grade students in Colorado and provide unique opportunities for students right here in the Rockies. The Ocean First Discovery Center educational programming will be facilitated by Ocean First Institute’s Executive Director, Mikki McComb-Kobza, PhD., renowned marine biologist and internationally acclaimed shark expert.

All programs will run at the state-of-the-art facility at Ocean First in Boulder, which includes an in-house pool, touch tanks with a variety of marine species, a wet lab, and digital microscopes.

*Class sign-ups are first come, first serve basis for our programming starting in 2021. We will limit group sizes to 8 students or less to allow for proper social distancing. As always, our commitment to safety is always top priority and we will be monitoring the recommendations of the CDC.

These courses are for 6th-12th graders.
