Katie Hendrickson

Katherine Hendrickson is the Executive Director of Shipwreck Park and Wahoo Bay, where she leads efforts to inspire community conservation through hands-on environmental education and collaborative partnerships. A marine and population ecology researcher by training, Katherine brings a strong foundation in science to her work connecting residents, students, and local organizations in protecting and restoring South Florida’s coastal ecosystems. Her vision blends research, education, and community engagement—empowering people of all ages to become active stewards of the ocean and the environment we share.
