Tracey Hill

Educator

Tracey Hill is the Colorado Education Coordinator at Ocean First Institute, where she supports ocean conservation through education, community outreach, and youth engagement. Born in Cape Town, South Africa, Tracey grew up swimming at the meeting point of the Atlantic and Indian Oceans, an experience that sparked her lifelong connection to the sea.

In her twenties, she moved to England, where she lived for twenty years and worked in education with children with special needs. She brings a strong background in inclusive education and a passion for making learning accessible, creative, and engaging for diverse audiences.

Now based in Boulder, Colorado, Tracey is also a visual artist working in photography, painting, printmaking, and ceramics, and teaches in community outreach programs. She is deeply committed to environmental stewardship, human rights, and educating young people about ocean health, particularly the impact of microplastics.

Tracey is bilingual, currently studying German, and loves to travel, with Iceland being her most recent favorite destination. Outside of work, she enjoys running, hiking, swimming, and spending time with her grand-dog, Fishh.
